Membership to the LLC and Non profit is open to eco villagers who buy shares one one thousands dollars each. Shares are non transferable and withdrawable. This means that it is possible for Essenians to buy shares back from members.
The Society will be directed and run by a voluntary, democratically elected
Management committee. The society will retain freehold ownership of the settlement’s land. It will lease the plots to residents using longterm
agricultural leasehold agreements. The leaseholds will be
conditionally tied to the rules and guidelines as set out in the Society’s management plan.
Except for vital issues (to be writtin in a Charter), most decisions will be determined via consensus.
The education and sustainability work will be governed by a non profit organization.
